Following the success of the H&W Training Hub’s ‘Menopause Programme’ for Primary Care Clinicians, we are delighted to announce the availability of Menopause Awareness Training for non-clinical Primary Care Staff.

This session aims to empower staff with knowledge about the perimenopause and menopause, so that they feel confident to direct patients to the appropriate clinician and resources.
It is also envisaged to be beneficial from a personal and employment perspective.

In particular, the session aims to cover:

• the importance of good menopause care, whether that be self help, medical care, or support in the workplace

• the definitions of menopause and perimenopause

• the symptoms and signs of the menopause and perimenopause

• some of the ways that symptoms can be helped

• how it can affect people in the workplace and in their lives generally.
