School of Nursing and Midwifery Stakeholder Event

The University of Worcester, School of Nursing and Midwifery are planning a stakeholder event in preparation for our new NMC approved Nursing and Nursing Associate courses, which will start in September 2019.

As key partners in the development and delivery of our programmes, I would like to invite you to this stakeholder event:

16th November 2018: 12-2pm: Room EE2033. .  Lunch and coffee to be provided.

The focus of the event will be the introduction and implementation of the NMC (2018) standards for student supervision and assessment (see: https://www.nmc.org.uk/globalassets/sitedocuments/education-standards/student-supervision-assessment.pdf).  There will also be opportunity to discuss the development of new nursing curriculum more generally and there will be opportunity to see the new PAN Midlands and East Practice Assessment Document.

Please can you confirm your attendance and please let me know if you feel I need to invite other key practitioners.  (To allow me to confirm lunch and coffee arrangements and ensure the room is the right size).

I am planning a further date for engagement with our independent sector partners:

13th December 2018 12-2pm: Room EE2033.  – again lunch and coffee will be provided.

This will be a follow-up event – but if you can’t attend in November, please do attend the December date – we will be happy to answer any questions about the new NMC Nursing and Nursing Associate Standards

An agenda for the event will follow nearer to the time and I look forward to meeting you all.
