Wound Care Training

Who should attend:

This training is suitable for Healthcare Assistants working in General Practice/Nursing homes who have a basic understanding of wound care and would like to advance both their theory based knowledge and practical skills.

Course Objectives

This study day is about wound care, infection/appropriate escalation, Aseptic Non Touch Technique/ infection control, competency based suture/clip removal, questions & answer session.

  • Wound Care/dressings (non-complex)
  • Recognition of infection/appropriate escalation
  • Skin care
  • Aseptic non-touch technique refresher
  • ICP
  • Suture/clip removal Theory & Practical
  • Q&A session for commonly encountered problems in practice
