More Information the Sustainable Improvement Team

Working across NHS primary care we have over 5 years of experience offering QI training, facilitation and support to GP surgery teams and our workshops receive extremely positive feedback. We remain in touch with many past delegates and, just last week, a nurse, who attended a workshop whilst in training, emailed us to say:

“I gained a lot from attending the Quality Improvement workshop. It has been the highlight of my training this year”. This should be offered to all nurses working in General Practice.  GPN from Derby

We will design a flexible timetable of support, with training in a wide range of the key Quality Improvement concepts, tools and techniques, an introduction to large-scale change methodology and some innovative personal development opportunities. The exact make-up of the course will depend on the needs of the group which we will assess beforehand. We appreciate that there will be a range of prior experience and we are well versed in managing this in a positive way. Time will also be built in for you to share the experience of and learning from being a change agent in General Practice.

Facilitators for the workshop will include:

Sheinaz Stansfield, SEN, RGN, HV Dip, MBA: a Gateshead Practice Manager with a background in nursing and strong background in system improvement.

Dr David Griffiths, GP, Clinical Lead, for the ‘Time for Care’ General Practice Development Programme
NHS England has recognised the pressure which General Practice is currently feeling and has been putting significant funding into improving and sustaining General Practice over the next few years. The report Making time in General Practice , which was produced by the NHS Alliance and the Primary Care Foundation, identified the most burdensome areas for General Practices through surveys and interviews. This led directly to the development of the GP Forward View  which details NHS England’s plan ‘to stabilise and transform General Practice’ through significant funding increases.

Please note the places on this workshop are in high demand and there is a cost to putting on the programme, so only register if you can attend both days.
