Course Summary
This session is aimed at ARRS roles who may need to interpret the Full Blood Count when seeing patients. This may be as a result of requesting the test themselves or under the supervision of another clinician. It should skill the learner in when it is clinically necessary and valuable to request the test, how to interpret and follow up intervals for borderline results.
The first session is on Tuesday 19th October at 12.30 with Dr Shafeek, a Consultant Haematologist at Worcester Royal Hospital. It will last 30-45 minutes depending on the questions.
There will also be follow up sessions / small group work at a later date to consolidate the learning and look at case scenarios using this knowledge - dates to be confirmed.
We are planning a similar session on Liver function tests in late November / early December
