Here you will find information on our career paths within Primary Care in Herefordshire & Worcestershire and other related documentation.

In-School or 6th forms and thinking of a career in Primary Care?

Why not look at our Dr You programme developed by Health Education England, the programme provides a wealth of information for individuals interested in a career within medicine.

With content written specifically around the needs of the various age groups, the programme aims to widen participation in medical placements through the ease of access.  It delivers an engaging platform from which individuals can access information relevant to the choices they need to make at that point in their career journey.

By bringing together opportunities in one place, students have the ability to view the current collective offer, instead of having to navigate multiple providers and various systems.

The programme provides a range of video case studies, testimonials and myth busters whilst also signposting individuals to additional resources and regional work experience opportunities and activities.

Please note: While the content is relevant to all regions, the funding for the work experience places and events is at present just for the East Midlands, though it is hoped may include opportunities in the West Midlands in the future.

Health Education England is delighted to be a lead supporter of National Numeracy Day for the fourth year running. The National Numeracy Day unique virtual festival on 19th May, was aimed to help the nation recover from Covid-19, at work, home and school with a host of free online events, videos and resources including practical advice from celebrities and experts and inspirational stories from real-life learners.

HEE and National Numeracy invited you to join an online presentation to learn more about how you too can get involved.  This positive annual event helps to reframe attitudes and abilities around using numbers in everyday life, by making a big difference with real impact. They ran three sessions (three of the same session) in April aswell to discuss the work National Numeracy do, National Numeracy Day itself and how NHS organisations can get involved.

With these now passed unfortunatly, please contact  to find out more information. If we get more dates we will be sure to post them here.
