General Practice Nursing Training Programme

Are you ready for an exciting new challenge in General Practice Nursing?
Herefordshire and Worcestershire Training Hub, in partnership with NHS England and Health Education England, is providing an exciting opportunity to join general practice and gain the skills and experience to be successful as a General Practice Nurse.
General Practice Nursing is a hugely rewarding area of nursing and critical to the success of the NHS Long Term Plan. We are looking for Registered Nurses to join our dynamic and forward thinking Primary Care Networks as General Practice Nurse Specialty Trainees. This is a training position initially and no experience of General Practice Nursing is required.
Successful candidates will be employed directly with a local practice and supported to complete the Fundamentals of General Practice Nursing (FGPN) postgraduate course.
Following completion of the training period you will be supported to access substantive posts in the area.
As a General Practice Nurse you will support people to manage their own health conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, or cardiovascular  disease. You will help them to stay well and promote healthy lifestyles whilst also assessing, screening, and treating people from small children to the elderly.
Applicants must be newly qualified (within 12 months) and must be available to start in March 2020
