The successful GPN will benefit from training and development opportunities whilst delivering day to day and strategic lead nurse activities to support the practices and PCNs of Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

The role will be a combination of workforce planning, education and representation for General Practice Nursing.
In additional we have Ambassadors from other professions and as a team often work together to promote the multi-professional learning therefore this role is well supported.
* The hours for this role are negotiable and for 22.5 to 37.5 hours per week*

Main duties of the job
Work with Herefordshire and Worcestershire Training Hub to shape ongoing development for Nursing teams within Primary Care.
Utilize Midlands GPN scoping report and other local surveys, reports, and intelligence to develop training programs, forums and activities that support nursing teams in practice.
Lead the Training Hub nursing team. Act as an ambassador for Primary Care Nursing.
Deliver training as appropriate to own qualifications and expertise. Join Training Hub Leadership team to share innovation and insight. Work to an academic level 7 ensuring project outputs meet evidenced based standards. Contribute to the growing knowledge base to support all Primary Care Nurses. Share best practice gained through networking and project delivery with NHSE leads and wider partners and the developing 10 year NHS plan.
Support workforce planning discussion and requirements including supporting student placements to encourage pipeline expansion.
