Position: PRACTICE NURSE
Accountable to: NURSE MANAGER, PRACTICE MANAGER AND PARTNERS
Hours: 30 -37.5 HOURS PER WEEK
(over 4 or 5 days – Monday, Wednesday and Friday being essential days)
Pay: £31,414-£38,317 FTE per year (Depending on Experience)

As Practice Nurse, you will be part of a team delivering high-quality, patient-focused care.We require a motivated and committed Practice Nurse to join our supportive, enthusiastic and friendly team. General practice experience desirable, with day to day duties including:
Cervical Cytology
Immunisations including Childhood and Travel Vaccinations
Family planning
Chronic Disease Management and Patient Reviews inc. Diabetes, COPD Asthma
Wound care, Dressings, Compression Bandaging and Suture Removal
Patient monitoring ie. Anti-coagulation
Phlebotomy
Assisting with Minor Surgery & Coil Clinics
Full understanding and compliance with all Infection Control principles
Managing day to day stock control
Provide Health Education to patients and their families
Administer medications and treatments according to Clinicians orders
Assist Clinicians with patient examinations and procedures.
Provide patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols
Any other duties delegated to the post

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic salaried GP to join our dedicated clinical team. We are a friendly, supportive forward thinking training practice that values innovation, teamwork and professional development. We are based in purpose-built premises which were recently extended. There is adequate onsite parking for all staff, and the surgery is located within walking distance of the town centre.
We have an experienced diverse multidisciplinary team to support you, including GP’s, on-site mental health workers, physiotherapist, ACPs, as well as prescribing practice nurses and a pharmacist. There is an excellent Neighbourhood team who provide support to the local care homes and housebound patients. Clinical administration is reduced to a minimum through our smart working practices and excellent administrations support for GP’s.
The surgery is an experienced training practice, training medical students, registrars and nursing students, with excellent feedback being provided through the medical and nursing schools. At our last CQC inspection we were rated as good.
0.6 FTE, up to 6 sessions per week, preferred days would be a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
