This study morning is made up of the below two sessions:
1. Calm, Connect, Resolve: A Positive Approach to Conflict Resolution
2. Compassionate Conversations
Taking place on Friday the 12th of September from 09:00 - 12:15 (registration from 08:45)

Calm, Connect, Resolve: A Positive Approach to Conflict Resolution:
- Understand why conflict occurs in general practice
- Recognise types of communication and behaviour patterns
- Learn key conflict resolution models to guide your approach
- Develop practical strategies to address conflict effectively
- Identify and signpost those affected by conflict to subsequent debriefing and support.
Compassionate Conversations:
Compassion is a core NHS value and evidence show improving consultation skills improves patient care.
- Understand the importance of compassion.
- Learn techniques to improve consultations and compassion.
- Expand skills to aid communication with those bereaved, suicidal and patients with dementia.
- Promote and prioritise self- compassion.
Speakers for the Session: Dr Steph Manton, GP with a special interest in menopause and GP Multi-professional Educator and Dr Olwen Wright.
Please note there will be no refreshments provided, however there will be a mid session break, and you are welcome to bring your own refreshments.
