Lower Limb Education Programme -

For each topic there will be two sessions, you will only need to book one.

All sessions take place online, hosted on our Learning Management System.

Immediate and Necessary Care for a Wound to the Lower Limb

Explains the National Wound Care Strategy Programme recommendations, for Immediate and Necessary Care of people with one or more wounds below the knee.

Taking place on either Tuesday 2nd April at 12:30-13:30 or Wednesday 3rd April at 14:30-15:30.

Understanding Chronic Oedema

Provides an understanding of the function of the lymphatic and vascular system and explains appropriate assessment.

Taking place on either Tuesday 7th May at 12:30-13:30 or Wednesday 8th May at 14:30-15:30.

Wound Bed Preparation

Provides an understanding of the principles of wound bed preparation in creating an optimal wound healing environment.

Taking place on either Tuesday 4th June at 12:30-13:30 or Wednesday 5th June at 14:30-15:30.

Exudate Management

Examines the important role exudate plays in wound healing and discusses the consequences of moisture imbalance.

Taking  place on either Tuesday 2nd July 12:30-13:30 or Thursday 4 th July 14:30-15:30
