Consultation skills and Compassion Workshop 

Delivered face to face on Friday 3rd October 10:00 - 12:00 at Nelson House, Whitecross Road, Hereford, HR4 0GD.  

These sessions are fully funded.

Workshop Delivered by Dr Olwen Wright BSc MB ChB MRCP MRCGP  Multi-Professional Educator Herefordshire and Worcestershire Training Hub.  Olwen  has worked as a  GP Partner at Spring Gardens in Worcester  since 2002 and been a GP Trainer for 21 years. She completed the Triumvirate leadership programme in 2015  to set up her practice ACP service . She  is a member of the Collaborative for Compassion in Healthcare Education. She attended the Putting evidence-based Empathy into practice workshop  last year at the  Stoneygate Centre for Empathic Healthcare. 

This workshop will explore the evidence on how improving consultations leads to better clinical care, less complaints and better wellbeing for staff. 

• Understand the importance of consultations skills.
• Learn new resources to improve consultations.
• Prioritise compassionate care. 

Please note that unfortunately there isn’t any parking on site, however there are several car parks close by. A couple of options are the car park for the Horse and Groom which is a short walk to the venue and Merton Meadow Car Park which is a ten-minute walk.

Please note lunch will not be provided; however, tea and coffee will be available throughout the session.
