Fully Funded Frailty Study Day

The Herefordshire and Worcestershire Training Hub is pleased to invite you to our face to face Frailty Study Day, taking place on Thursday 22nd October from 09:00 - 17:00 at Nelson House, Hereford. Registration from 08:30.

This fully funded interactive study day aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills to manage the complexity of caring for people living with frailty across primary care. This course is designed for a multi professional audience, suitable for all clinical staff involved in the care of patients living with frailty.

CPD accredited for 7 CPD points

Learning points include:

• The physiological impact of ageing and principles of Frailty
• Frailty identification
• Living well with Frailty
• Falls, Immobility and Deconditioning
• Polypharmacy and Deprescribing
• Advanced Care Planning and ReSPECT discussions
• Approaching a Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment in Primary Care

The session is facilitated by Charlotte Marley.

Charlotte is a Senior Physician Associate with 10 years of NHS experience currently working clinically in inpatient Care of the Elderly in Gloucestershire. She is the Training and Education Lead for the Training Hub and spent 6 years working in local general practice. She has a specialist interest in Frailty and holds a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine with the RCP and British Geriatric Society.

Please note that lunch will not be included, however refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Please note that unfortunately there isn’t any parking on site, however there are several car parks close by. A couple of options are the car park for the Horse and Groom which is a short walk to the venue and Merton Meadow Car Park which is roughly a ten-minute walk.

PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE A MEMBER OF STAFF BASED IN NELSON HOUSE WHO HAS A SEVERE NUT ALLERGY, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM BRINING ANY FOOD WITH TRACES OF NUTS INTO THE BUILDING.
