Taking place face-to-face at Nelson House, Whitecross Road, Hereford, Herefordshire, HR4 0DG on the 3rd of July from 10:30 - 13:30.

The room this session is taking place in is called 'The Hive'.

This interactice study morning covers the below topics:

Introduction to headache -
Learn how to take a history, what to exam and how to recognise red flags. 

Migraine - acute and chronic management including new pharmacology treatments. 

Secondary headaches - update to include giant cell arteritis, sub-arachnoid haemorrhage, meningitis and tumours. 

Headaches are a common cause of consultations and by the end you should improve your diagnosis, management and referrals. 

Suitable for all clinical staff seeing patients with headaches in Primary Care. Live and recorded On Training Hub LMS. 

An interactive face-to-face study day delivered by Dr Olwen Wright BSc MB ChB MRCP MRCGP  Multi-Professional Educator Herefordshire and Worcestershire Training Hub. Olwen worked  as a medical registrar and in ITU before GP Training and has an interest in medical complexity and diabetes. She has worked as a GP Partner at Spring Gardens in Worcester for 23 years and been a GP Trainer for 21 years. She completed the Triumvirate leadership programme in 2015  to set up her practice ACP service and supervises staff training for their MSc. She recently attended the Headache Masterclass at the Royal College of Physicians, London. 

Please note that lunch will not be included, however refreshments will be available throughout the morning.

Please note that unfortunately there isn’t any parking on site, however there are several car parks close by. A couple of options are the car park for the Horse and Groom which is a short walk to the venue and Merton Meadow Car Park which is roughly a ten-minute walk.
