Biography about the Speaker:

Dr Corinne Hield, graduated from Cardiff University in 2009 and started paediatric training in the West Midlands in 2011. I completed the Birmingham City University stand-alone MSC advanced diabetes care module on 'Children and Young People's Diabetes Care' in March 2021. This led to a publication in Diabetes Care for Children and Young People journal in August 2021, titled 'Increased Cases of Patients with Newly Diagnosed Type 1 Diabetes Presenting in Severe Diabetic Ketoacidosis in a UK County During the COVID-19 Pandemic'. I have been accredited with RCPCH Special Interest Module (SPIN) in diabetes. I started as a locum paediatric consultant at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in March 2023 and have just been appointed at the trust as a substantive general paediatrician with a specialist interest in diabetes.
