Referring for Cardiology Investigations from Primary Care: What, Why and When?

You are invited to join the Cardiology Consultants and their Cardiopulmonary Team from Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust, as they give us their Top Tips for cardiology referrals and for requesting Holter monitors and Transthoracic Echocardiograms for our patients in Primary Care.  This session discusses local services in both Herefordshire and Worcestershire.  They plan to cover:

1. Indications for Transthoracic Echocardiograms requests – Dr Chris McAloon, Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in cardiac imaging
2. Outpatient Holter Monitor requests – Dr Demeytri Ramnarase, Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in Electrophysiology
3. Top tips for GP Referrals to Cardiology – Dr Helen Routledge, Consultant Cardiologist
4. Q&A session with the whole team

This session is suitable for all Healthcare Clinicians working in General Practice, who may be directly or indirectly involved with patients presenting with symptoms that may require these investigations.  This includes, but is not limited to:
