The HRT Review Appointment -
Taking place online on the Learning Management System on the 6th of July from 13:00 - 14:00
You are invited to join Dr Steph Manton for this interactive one-hour session being delivered via our Learning Management System (LMS). Steph is a GP Multi-Professional Educator with Herefordshire and Worcestershire Primary Care Training Hub and has an interest in Women’s health and is a holder of the British Menopause Society’s Advanced Certificate in the Principles and Practices of Menopause Care.
Learning objectives:
By the end of the session, participants should be able to:
· Structure an HRT review at 3 months and annually thereafter in line with UK guidance
· Assess benefit, harms, adherence, and ongoing indication for HRT, including symptom control and side effects
· Recognise and manage unscheduled bleeding on HRT, including when to adjust treatment and to investigate or refer
· Optimise HRT regimen and route using individual risk assessment, particularly for VTE risk and comorbidities
· Use shared decision making to support continuation, modification, stopping or restarting HRT.
PLEASE NOTE - This session has been designed for clinicians involved in the prescribing of HRT, who are already familiar with the presentation, assessment and discussion of symptom management for menopause and perimenopause.
