GP Portfolio Roles
Herefordshire and Worcestershire CCGs with support from NHS England, local Trusts/Healthcare Providers and the Local Medical Committee have developed a number of GP portfolio roles. The roles are aimed at providing interesting, varied and supportive ways for GPs to work both within General Practice and a local hospital or community healthcare setting.
Our current posts are set up with the GP employed by the provider, under a specifically adapted honorary contract for an agreed number of sessions. The GP’s terms and conditions, indemnity and pension are covered within one agreement with the provider.
Portfolio roles currently supported include:
- Care of the Elderly/Stroke - Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust
- Diabetes – Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust
- Stroke Medicine - Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust
- GP in the Emergency Department – Stay Well Healthcare
- Dermatology – DMC Healthcare
