We are expanding our clinical leadership team and are looking for an experienced Consultant Paediatrician to help shape and deliver high‑quality neurodevelopmental assessment pathways for children and young people aged 6–18.
The Role
As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will provide senior clinical leadership across our ADHD and Autism assessment services. You will lead and/or sign off diagnostic assessments, support MDT colleagues, ensure clinical governance, and maintain high standards of safeguarding and documentation.
This is a remote‑first role with flexible working options.
What You’ll Do
- Complete or sign off ADHD and Autism diagnostic assessments
- Provide senior clinical opinion for complex or borderline presentations
- Oversee triage, pre‑assessment decisions, and use of additional tools (e.g., QB Test)
- Produce high‑quality diagnostic reports and care plans
- Lead weekly MDT meetings and supervise clinical staff
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding standards and service governance
- Contribute to audit, quality improvement, and service development
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- GMC registration with licence to practise
- MRCPCH or equivalent
- CCT in Paediatrics (General, Community or Neurodisability), or within 6 months
- Experience assessing ADHD and Autism in children and young people
- Experience with Autism diagnostic tools (e.g., ADOS) and validated ADHD measures
- Strong safeguarding knowledge (Level 3)
- Excellent clinical report writing and MDT working skills
Desirable:
- ADOS/ADIR training
- Community paediatrics or neurodisability experience
- Experience interpreting QB Test data
- Familiarity with Right to Choose pathways
