A Day in the Life of a Salaried GP at Abbey Medical Practice
Your day begins with morning surgery, offering a mix of routine and same‑day appointments supported by an experienced, well‑organised administrative team. You’ll work closely with fellow GPs, nurses and our wider multidisciplinary team, sharing insights and discussing complex cases to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
Late morning may involve telephone consultations, reviewing test results, completing clinical paperwork, or addressing prescription queries. You may also conduct a home or care home visit when needed, supported by the practice team.
After a break, the afternoon session includes a varied mix of follow‑ups, chronic disease reviews and urgent care appointments. Throughout the day, you'll be part of informal clinical discussions, contribute to practice development, and support audits or internal meetings.
