Main duties may include

·         Cervical Cytology

·         Immunisations including Childhood, Travel Vaccinations and administering injections under PGD/PSD requirements

·         Family planning

·         Chronic Disease Management specifically Diabetes but also Respiratory, COPD Asthma

·         Wound care, Dressings, Dopplers, Compression Bandaging and Suture Removal

·         Patient monitoring i.e. Anti-coagulation

·         Phlebotomy

·         Assisting with Minor Surgery & Coil Clinics

·         Full understanding and compliance with all Infection Control principles

·         Managing day to day stock control

·         Provide Health Education to patients and their families

·         Administer medications and treatments according to Clinicians orders

·         Assist Clinicians with patient examinations and procedures.

·         Provide patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols

·         Any other duties delegated to the post

Place of Work:

We aim for the main location of work to be at Kingsland Surgery, but there will be requirements to provide cover when needed at both Orleton Surgery and Leominster Surgery.
