Main duties of the job

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, mental health practitioners, and social prescribers, to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Conduct consultations, assessments, and follow-ups with patients, utilising ARRS-funded services to support patient needs.
  • Contribute to the management of chronic disease, health promotion, and disease prevention in line with best practices and PCN goals.
  • Participate in clinical audits, training, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  • Support the development and implementation of new care pathways that align with ARRS objectives.

Main duties of the job

The practice is seeking a dedicated salaried GP to work 4 sessions a week over two days. Many of our patients have been with the practice a number of years. The main duties of the role will deliver a high level of patient care. To support the 2 partners and all other clinicians in delivering a full range of Primary Care Services to registered patients of the Practice. To work in partnership with all members of the Health Care team to ensure provision is of the highest standard possible and to help the Practice achieve maximum targets.

We have a strong clinical team of Practices Nurses, 2 partners, and 2 Salaried GP’s  all supported by experienced HCA’s, administrators and management team. We are a member of o Local Primary Care Network consisting of five independently run Practices.

Our practice is also able to provide teir 2 visa sponsorship if needed. 

 

Job responsibilities

·        In accordance with the clinical schedule and as agreed, the post holder will undertake a variety of duties including: patient consultations, (both pre-booked and emergencies when necessary), face to face appointments, telephone consultations, dealing with queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, checking and filing patient test results and undertaking further actions as required, updating patient medical records and ensuring  items are addressed I respects of QOF, undertaking examinations and medical as required (NHS and private), completing all relevant paperwork and correspondence  in a timely manner.

·         Making professional, autonomous decisions in regard to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referral from other Health Care professionals. 

·         Recording clear and contemporaneous clinic system-based consultations notes to agreed standard.

 

Qualifications

·         Recent CCT within the Last 12 to 24 months with no prior regular employment as a salaried GP

·         GMC registration

·         Registration with a recognised medical defence organisation

·         GP training & Experience working in a UK General Practice environment

·         Working with EMIS Web

·         Clinical audit Skills

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Competent IT skills

·         Understanding of the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF)

·         Patient-focused

·         Able to work as part of a team, to promote a good team spirit and optimise the Practical potential.

 

 

Desirable

·         MRCGP

·         Interest in GP training and education

·         Understanding of Clinical Commissioning
