Physician Associate – up to 37.5 hours

We are delighted to offer the opportunity to join our friendly, supportive and well organised team.

We are looking to expand our clinical team made up of 5 partners and 4 salaried GPs, 3 ANPs, 3 chronic disease specialist prescribing nurses, 2 practice nurses, 3 HCAs and 2 clinical pharmacists.

We are looking for a PA to provide a mixture of routine, same-day and duty general practice consultations, comprising of telephone consultations, face to face appointments and online consultations.

Scope for future professional development.

Salary: £41,000 (WTE)

 

·        

     -Daily coffee time meeting is central to our team philosophy, good humour and sanity

·       -We use a 2 session per day system offering a mixture of telephone consultations, face to face appointments and ‘remote/online’ consultations

·       -Daily dedicated on-call team made of GP and Advanced Nurse Practitioner currently

·       -Highly trained document handlers manage 90% of incoming documents without clinician input

·       -Recently CQC inspected rated Good and commended for our team ethos and team atmosphere

·       -High QOF Achieving

·      -Training practice, with up to three GP registrars, FY doctors, student nurses and PA training

·       -Close relationships and collaborative working with neighbouring practices to support Hub working

·      -Part of Bromsgrove and District PCN

·       -13,000 patients/ single site

·       -EMIS Web with electronic links to hospitals and pharmacies and online booking

·       -Start date as soon as possible, but will wait for right candidate

Experience

Essential

·         Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of medical conditions relevant to primary care and associated treatments/management options

·         To work independently with supervision

Desirable

• Experience within general practice

Qualifications

Essential

• Postgraduate Diploma/Masters level qualification as a Physician Associate from an accredited UK University
• Bachelor Degree in Life Science/Biomedical/Nursing or Allied Health Science

Desirable

• Member of Faculty of Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register (PAMVR)
• Valid national certification and recertification every six years stipulated by PAMVR
