What You’ll Be Doing

As a Nurse Associate within our PCN, you will:

  • Deliver safe, evidence‑based, patient‑centred care across the lifespan
  • Support clinical teams with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care plans
  • Conduct routine health checks, administer medications, and assist with minor procedures
  • Perform diagnostic tests and assist with interpreting clinical information
  • Provide health education and contribute to disease prevention initiatives
  • Maintain accurate patient records and uphold data protection standards
  • Collaborate with GPs, nurses, AHPs, and wider multidisciplinary teams
  • Support referrals and ensure timely access to specialist services
  • Participate in quality improvement and service‑development activities
  • Engage in training and development to continually enhance your skills

 

About You

Essential:

·       Valid nursing qualification and Nurse Associate registration.

·       Good clinical knowledge of procedures, protocols, and evidence‑based practice guidelines.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families and colleagues.

·       Strong organisational skills and ability to work effectively in a busy setting.

·       Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including occasional evenings, weekends, or bank holidays.

·       Proficient in using electronic patient records and other clinical software.

·       Commitment to maintaining professional standards, ethics, and practicing within the NHS framework.

Desirable:

·       Experience in a primary care or community healthcare setting.

·       Additional training or certificates in specialist nursing skills.

·       Knowledge of local and national healthcare policies.

·       Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.

·       A proactive approach to learning, development, and improving services.

·       Experience supporting quality improvement projects.

·       Familiarity with infection prevention and control practices.

·       Ability to adapt confidently to new technologies and evolving clinical systems
