If so then there are training opportunities available to existing talented and committed Healthcare Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants. As part of our changing nursing and care workforce, Nursing Apprenticeships are now available!
The cost of an Apprenticeship is funded by your employer, and anyone can become an Apprentice, providing they meet the entry requirements for the programme and their employer supports their application and believes they are capable of the academic learning required.

There are 2 Nursing Apprenticeships options to consider. These are detailed below, together with the entry requirements for the programmes and links to the apprenticeship standards which provide more detail about the course:

Qualification: Level 5 (equivalent to foundation degree)
Entry Requirements: GCSE English & Maths Grades A-C (or equivalent level 2 functional skills) & must be able to demonstrate ability to study at level 5 Diploma of Higher Education level
Length of Course: 2 Years

Registered Nurse (Degree)

Qualification: Level 6 (equivalent to bachelor’s degree)
Entry Requirements: GCSE grades 9 to 4 including English & Maths Grades A-C (or equivalent level 2 functional skills) & must be able to demonstrate ability to study at level 6 Higher Education level
Length of Course: 4 Years
